About Mila
I am a keen student and teacher, particularly experienced in working with children age 4-12 and learning through play. My other area of expertise is business Russian, which I taught for 6 months through Skype to two very satisfied students. I studied Russian at the University of Glasgow as well as in Tver State University and received a Distinction in Spoken Russian. Living and studying in Russia for a year allowed me to have great understanding of the local culture and its nuances. I also constantly stay up-to-date with current events and neologisms. For the past six months I have been working as a public sector interpreter, including courts and law centres. I speak four languages and would be more than happy to share all the lessons I learned on my journey to being multilingual.

I am open to teaching people of all ages and levels of Russian. My favourite way of teaching is through play as well as through engaging with Russian culture together, such as watching films/cartoons or looking at borscht recipes and then discussing them. I believe that the key to learning a language is constantly reminding yourself of what is in it for you, so I focus at my students' needs and interests instead of imposing anything on them. I am also flexible with lesson times.
