About Torrance
I have 4+ years experience tutoring a variety of subjects (writing, chemistry, etc.) at Kent State University and through my own freelance work. I also worked a year as an English teacher’s assistant in a French primary school and middle school. I am currently working on my master's in French translation while living in France. I have two Bachelor's degrees in French and Anthropology. I am committed to providing a welcoming learning environment where mistakes are viewed as the main avenue to learning. The fact that I am a very curious person, interested in a variety of topics, makes me an ideal tutor. I share a love of learning with each person I have the opportunity to teach.

A typical session begins by discussing your needs and current level, followed by practicing through conversation or written exercises. Torrance gave me a very good English course. Oral expression is very little encouraged in France and having conversations with a native speaker really helps me to progress.Coucou I would recommend Torrance as an English teacher because she is very patient and she was very understanding of all levels of English and really helped me to gain confidence in my skills. My goal has been to pass the TOEFL for to complete my studies in English, and Torrance made it really easy to progress with it. My goal was to pass the TOEFL, and I took it yesterday and got a 96!!
