Work best with youths (12+) and adults, from beginner level to university students. The many years of (20+) pedagogical experience, as well as the my own concert activities around the world, form the basis of the teaching work, which is individually tailored to the current level and the ambitions of the student. Strong technical foundation with emphasis on tension-free playing, and a deep musical understanding and broad approach to cello playing and various musical styles are my teaching focuses. German, English and Chinese possible.

Perfect! Alvin is not only a skilled cellist, but most importantly a great teacher. He helped me get comfortable with the cello fundamentals within a couple of lessons only. The lessons are interactive, flexible and fun. Alvin is also open to teaching me any piece that I choose. Highly recommended if you want to be in the right hands!
Perfect! Alvin ist sehr intensiv auf meine technischen Probleme eingegangen, was mir wirklich ausgesprochen geholfen hat. Man merkt, dass er genau beobachtet und zuhört, und daraus wertvolle Tipps gibt. Alvin erklärt sehr anschaulich und spielt so vor, dass man sich viel abschauen kann. Er ist ein sehr herzlicher Mensch, den ich als Cellolehrer nur weiterempfehlen kann!
Perfect! Alvin ist sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam, und er hat sehr geduldig für mein 10 jährigen Sohn im Details erklärt. Ich bin sehr zurfrieden mit ihm als Lehrer. Freu mich jede Woche auf den unterricht!

Perfect! Der Unterricht bei Alvin macht durch seine nette Art sehr viel Spaß. Die Mischung zwischen Herausforderung und Lockerheit ist für mich perfekt. Ich habe das Gefühl ziemlich schnell viel Neues gelernt zu haben.
- Pia ist sehr motiviert. Als Erwachsene Anfänger kann sie sehr natürlich mit dem acello umgehen. Ihr musikalischer Hintergrund hilft ihr bei der Anwendung ihrer neu erworbenen Fähigkeiten.
