About Shiva
I am a German language assistant at the Howard of Effingham School in Surrey and am also completing an English and Philosophy degree at Georg-August University in Germany. Before I moved to London 2 years ago I worked as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher in Göttingen, Germany where I taught students who did not speak German as a first language. I moved to Germany very young and had to learn the language myself. This means I can personalise my teaching process to each individual because I know the struggles first-hand. Besides German, I also teach Persian which is my native language. I have a C2-Level TOEFL in English and am now refreshing my French. As you can see, I love learning languages and make sure my classes are fun and engaging. I think everyone should learn at least one new language in their lifetime, so it would be my pleasure to help you reach your goals and discover your potential.

Everyone learns at a different pace, so I begin by figuring out what is best for you. I like to separate a language into four categories: speaking, listening, writing, and reading. After assessing your ability in each, we can figure out your goals and what you want to achieve by the end of our sessions together. Students often see progress quickly with me and I have taught many people to speak German fluently, so there is no reason you can't be next! Example Lessons: - Speaking classes (grammar and vocab work) - Reading and listening classes (grammar and vocab) - Writing classes (grammar and spelling) - Translations - Exam preparation (GCSEs, A-Levels) - Finishing assignments and homework

I had four months of lessons with Shiva to prepare for my A-Level German exams. She was extremely easy to contact week by week and her teaching methods were super helpful. I would not have passed the exam without her :D
