About Ovidiu
I hold a BSc in Environmental Sciences and currently work as a Geospatial Analyst in the transportation industry. Having worked in different fields, including research and academia, I came across a variety of topics and methods that forged my knowledge of geography and GIS. Additionally, I assisted university students with arithmetic and statistics, which helped me understand the best practices for explaining complex subjects to different people.

As a teacher, my approach is student-centred, meaning I tailor my teaching style and techniques to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I believe that active learning is the most effective way to learn, so I encourage my students to ask questions, participate in discussions and collaborate with me in problem-solving activities. I also use visual aids, such as diagrams, charts and graphs, which are essential in geography, to help students understand complex concepts and information. The length of a lesson depends on the student's needs and preferences. Typically, my lessons range from 1 to 2 hours per session, but I am flexible and can adjust the length of a lesson to suit the student's schedule and attention span. My lessons are for students of all ages and levels who are interested in geography, applied geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). My goal is to help students achieve their academic, career and personal goals and build their confidence in their ability to succeed.
