About Alaa
I am a fourth-year medical student with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in helping younger students learn and grow.
For many years, I have helped teach and support my younger siblings with their schoolwork across a wide range of subjects. This experience has taught me how to be patient, explain difficult ideas in simple ways, and adapt my teaching depending on how each student learns best.
As a medical student, learning complex information and breaking it down into understandable steps is something I do every day. I enjoy using that skill to help younger students feel more confident with their schoolwork and overcome topics they may initially find difficult.
I aim to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students with their current work, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

My lessons are designed to be clear, engaging, and adapted to each student's individual needs. Before each lesson, I like to know what the student is currently studying so I can prepare explanations, examples, and practice activities around their schoolwork.
I focus on helping students truly understand a topic rather than simply memorising answers. During lessons, I explain concepts step by step, ask questions to check understanding, work through examples together, and encourage students to explain ideas back to me in their own words.
I can also help with homework, revision, reading and comprehension, English, maths, science, and general primary-school academic support.
Most importantly, I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and are not afraid of making mistakes. Every lesson can be adjusted depending on the student's level, learning style, and areas they need the most help with.
