About Erin
I hold a Psychology degree from UC San Diego specializing in Autism. My career has been a mix of corporate (much of it training of salespeople) along with working in K-12 schools as a teacher and a professional development trainer for administrators on campus. I am certified through the National Council on Mental Wellness to instruct Mental Health First Aid for Youth, Teen and Adults. I have had the privilege of providing this education to students, teachers, administrators, parents and anyone in the community working with children and young adults. I have received consistent feedback that my ability to connect with students provides a safe space for learning, especially with challenging topics. My philosophy is that learning something new can sometimes be hard, but we CAN do hard things with the right support and guidance :)

I meet my students at the level where they are comfortable, while also offering support to challenge themselves as we work together. My awareness of neurodivergent differences allows me the ability to offer flexibility and creativity in learning styles with my students. Some of my students learn best with tactile activities, some are more visual, and some are more auditory in their abilities. My philosophy is that there is not one best way to learn or instruct - it's really dependent on the individual and how that person learns most accurately and efficiently.
