About Vanessa
Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am a GCSE student. I want to teach because I’m passionate about helping others unlock their potential and gain confidence in their abilities. I find it incredibly rewarding when students grasp difficult concepts and start to believe in their own skills. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge in a way that can make a real difference in someone’s academic journey, and I enjoy creating a supportive environment where learning feels both achievable and enjoyable. Helping students succeed, not just in exams but in developing a deeper understanding of the subject, is what motivates me to be a tutor.

As a maths tutor, my approach is all about breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, helping students build a solid foundation and gain confidence in their abilities. Each lesson will last for an hour, providing a focused, interactive learning experience where students actively engage with the material. I focus on problem-solving, guiding students through examples and encouraging them to apply what they’ve learnt. My goal is to help students from primary school all the way up to year 9 to revive a genuine understanding of maths, making them feel capable and motivated to tackle new challenges. With clear explanations, targeted practice, and consistent feedback, I ensure that each student progresses at their own pace and masters the key skills they need.
