Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I take a clear, supportive, and tailored approach to teaching. I break topics down into manageable steps, use a range of examples, and adapt explanations to suit each student’s learning style. I focus on developing strong problem-solving skills and exam technique so students feel fully prepared and capable. Lessons are fully tailored to each student, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Typical Lesson Length
Most lessons are 60 minutes, giving enough time for explanation, guided practice, and consolidation.
Qualifications and Experience
I am an experienced Maths teacher and Examiner with over 30 years of teaching GCSE and A-level Mathematics, both in the UK and internationally. My experience as an Examiner provides valuable insight into what examiners look for and how students can maximise their marks.
Who My Lessons Are For
I primarily teach GCSE and A-level students, but I can also support KS3 learners who want to build a strong foundation before moving up to GCSE. I work with students of all abilities, from those needing confidence-boosting support to those aiming for top grades.

I knew Daniel as he tutored my daughter online in 2020 and 2021 during the Covid lockdowns in China. As an expat it was important that my daughter had a good relationship with her teacher. As Daniel had a background in pastoral teaching he was patient and allowed my daughter a differentiated experience in a subject she was least confident. Daniel’s upbeat delivery of material got my daughter through a difficult time in her educational journey. Regardless of the level of the student whether gifted or struggling. Daniel has a high EQ and advanced knowledge in A level math so will look after your child.
Daniel was my Head of Mathematics. He has excellent subject knowledge of GCSE and A level mathematics. Observing his lessons was a pleasure as he was always able to inspire students and enable them to answer exam questions. He is especially strong with Mechanics.
