About Tayla
Hi! I’m Tayla, a final-year Geography with Environmental Mathematics student at the University of Leeds. I love making geography interesting and easy to understand. My aim is to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding and feel much more prepared for their exams.
My degree and both my professional and personal experience have given me a strong understanding of physical and human geography, weather and climate, GIS, environmental data and real-world geographical processes.
I love being able to bring these examples into lessons and show how the geography students learn at school connects to the real world.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel completely comfortable asking questions or telling me when something doesn’t make sense … I’ve been there!
Outside of university, I love sport, travelling and anything outdoors — especially being by the sea!

Every lesson is tailored to you! I can help with physical and human geography, case studies, revision techniques, interpreting data and maps, and developing strong answers for different-mark questions.
Most importantly, my lessons are relaxed and supportive. You can ask as many questions as you need, and we’ll work at your pace until you genuinely understand the topic rather than simply memorising it.
As exams approach, we can focus more heavily on past papers, mark schemes and exam technique to help you understand exactly what examiners are looking for and turn your geographical knowledge into marks!
