About Kirsten
I’m a GCSE and A-level Art teacher with over eight years of experience working with students of all abilities, from those finding the subject challenging to those aiming for the very top grades. I chose to teach art because I genuinely believe it can change how young people think about themselves, their ideas and their confidence. Art gives students a voice, and I love helping them discover how powerful that can be.

My lessons are structured but supportive and highly personalised. We work collaboratively, using the exam specification and marking criteria to identify gaps in portfolios and target areas that will raise grades. I guide students through planning, refining and presenting work, while also teaching practical techniques, tips and processes to genuinely improve skill and confidence. GCSE Art isn’t just about the final grade, but about developing creativity, independence and strong artistic ability.
