About Mari
I have been working as a tutor since the age of 14 and since then, my passion for spreading knowledge and assisting people with their learning has only grown. Currently on a gap year, I am awaiting my entry into SOAS university for a course in language and culture - something I am truly passionate about.
Throughout school, I achieved not only the grades I wanted but many achievements alongside too. I graduated Sixth Form after studying geography, politics and economics. After university I aspire to be a policy analyst working towards a focus in foreign affairs.

From counting and basic greetings to construction of formal sentences in comparison to slang terms, I would be very happy to go over anything a student wishes to. Not only do I offer these catered-to lessons but I am also interested in working with a variety of people - so don’t be afraid to ask me anything! I am open teaching all ages, skill levels and ethnicities.
My lessons will often go by British time and will last roughly an hour. Our first lesson would consist of me getting to know you and what you wish to learn as well as determining your skill level. For each level I have a lesson planned through a PowerPoint, which is followed and shared with you during a lesson. We will work on grammar structure, pronunciation and learning new vocabulary as well.
Currently, I speak Mandarin, Tagalog and Japanese alongside English as a native language.This list consists of your native language then I would more easily be able to explain each lesson! However, don’t fret if that is not the case. I will do my very best to communicate with you in a way you would understand the lesson completely.
