About Lucy
I am currently on a gap year after leaving sixth form in 2020. I completed A-levels in Chemistry, Biology and Geography with a particular passion for science subjects meaning I have a place to study chemistry at university in 2021. I have tutoring experience at GCSE level in a secondary school as well as volunteering during my own time in school to support younger students.

I approach learning differently for each student to meet their Individual needs, goals and learning technique. This often includes helping students visualise scientific concepts by using real life examples. I use my own passion for the subjects I tutor to improve the confidence of students, as I know how much this makes a difference to academic performance, something which I believe is strongly overlooked in schools. I encourage students to ask as many questions as possible- no matter big or small to ensure there is no gaps in knowledge, and develop understanding that can be applied successfully in exams. As a recent student, I have an insight into the current curriculums and the best techniques for learning and revision such as use of active recall, which I feel is very advantageous.
