About Laolu
I’m an incoming third-year medical student at the University of Melbourne, having completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash. I have a strong interest in critical thinking, writing, and problem-solving, which I enjoy sharing with others. Outside of academics, I love playing and watching sports and listening to music. I enjoy engaging with new ideas, meeting people, and helping others build confidence in tackling challenges creatively and effectively.

Hi there,
I’m an incoming 3rd year medical student at the University of Melbourne. I scored 78 in GAMSAT Section 2 (~98th percentile). Section II is an area that many medical applicants struggle with, and while it can seem daunting, I strongly believe it is the most improvable section of the GAMSAT when approached with a clear, structured strategy.
I offer a clear, intuitive, and highly adaptable essay structure that allows GAMSAT candidates to confidently approach any Section II topic, no matter how abstract or philosophical the prompts may be. My tutoring is built around a repeatable system that trains students to accurately unpack stimuli, generate ideas efficiently using flexible frameworks, and construct arguments with strong logical flow. I place a strong emphasis on developing clear, well-articulated written expression with control under exam conditions, while also strengthening evaluative thinking so responses move beyond surface-level ideas. This is supported through detailed, ongoing essay review, personalised academic guidance, and streamlined planning methods that enable students to produce high-quality essays confidently within strict time limits.
I am currently offering one-on-one tutoring at $80 per hour, as well as small group sessions for pairs at $60 per person per hour.
