My approach to tutoring is structured yet flexible, designed to adapt to each student’s needs. I focus on simplifying complex topics, enhancing critical thinking, and honing communication skills—key elements for success in the GAMSAT and medical interviews.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I use a mix of targeted problem-solving, mock interviews, and discussion-based learning. For GAMSAT, we break down each section, focusing on strategies for tackling challenging questions and time management. For interview prep, we practice with real-life scenarios and panel-style Q&A, giving students confidence in their responses and delivery.
Lesson Structure and Length:
Typically, lessons run for about 60-90 minutes. This allows time to dive into material, practice, and review feedback, while keeping sessions manageable and focused.
Qualifications and Experience:
I have two years of experience as an interview panelist for Swansea GEM, providing me with an insider’s understanding of what interviewers seek. I also have a strong foundation in the GAMSAT and medical admissions process, helping me guide students effectively. My approach has consistently led to positive outcomes, with many of my past students securing offers for medical school after achieving strong GAMSAT scores and performing excellently in their interviews.
