About Marq
I am a programmer that has experience working with a variety of development environments and programming languages. Over years of development I have picked up simple solutions to a number of common game development problems that can speed up problem solving and give you a tool kit for constructing the game that you want to.
In my experience there are a core set of skills that can be applied while development across game genres. during my university education I was also trained in industry standard practices that allowed me to reinforce my understanding with the experiences of people that have been working in the industry since the 90s.

I begin by presenting simple repeatable examples in a freely available game engine (the Godot game engine) then go over the conventions used to construct it. We start with simple examples most people will be comfortable constructing on their own, such as a 2D platformer to explain the rudimentary game logic. Then moving on to using the same engine to construct a top down action game as a way of explaining the intersections between 2D game logic and 3D game logic as well as how both can be combined.
lessons are taught one to one and asking specific questions is encouraged. every student has their own way of approaching problems and understanding solutions.
