About Ansgar
I've been playing the violin for over 20 years. My initial training was classical. During this time I gained experience in a wide variety of ensembles, from solo concerts and chamber music to symphony orchestras. Building on this foundation, I explored the world of improvisation in blues and jazz, as well as arranging pop songs. Today, I regularly perform my own compositions and various arrangements, ranging from jazz standards to Michael Jackson.

If you're particularly interested in the path from classical violin technique to the fundamentals of improvisation in blues and jazz, then let's find the right starting point together! But even if you're a complete beginner with the violin, I'd be happy to teach you the basics. Violin lessons should always be approached holistically: the techniques of playing the violin are always linked to the inner, musical approach to playing, and vice versa. Therefore, my lessons are always individually tailored and pursue the ongoing goal of developing a playful approach to the instrument.

Regular lessons are either 30 minutes (€25) or 45 minutes (€35).
One-time “workshops” are also possible. Here we focus on a specific topic and/or piece over a longer period of time (at least 3 hours).
