About Sam Rae
I have been playing piano for 20 years and teaching private lessons for almost a decade. I also direct a high school percussion ensemble and have taught in several other high schools since 2016. I am currently completing my Music Education Degree at MSU Denver. A fun fact about me is that I have performed at Carnegie Hall as well as the Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. I am passionate about teaching because I love to watch students grow as musicians and people overall. I enjoy watching their confidence bloom the more they learn!

My #1 philosophy as a teacher is that it is my job to foster a positive relationships between students and music. I focus on fun, positivity, and improvement lesson to lesson!
My typical lesson starts with a warm-up, then an exercise in an appropriate lesson book, and then putting together the information to work on a piece of music that is meaningful to the student.
I teach all ages and levels, I have experience with ages 5-40 and levels beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
