About Mel
Hello! My name is Melody, and I am a dedicated Reading tutor specializing in reading comprehension and language development. My goal is to help students become confident readers who can understand English texts clearly, independently, and without frustration.
I believe that reading is more than just pronouncing words—it is about understanding meaning, building vocabulary, and developing the ability to think in English. I support my students by breaking down complex texts into simple, understandable ideas and teaching practical strategies that make reading easier and more effective.
I take a patient, structured, and supportive approach to teaching. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match each learner’s level, pace, and goals. Whether you are a beginner struggling with basic comprehension or an intermediate student aiming to improve fluency and accuracy, I provide clear guidance and consistent support.
My lessons are designed to be engaging, practical, and results-focused. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
Above all, I am committed to helping my students build lasting confidence in their reading skills so they can succeed in school, work, and everyday life.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly understand what they read, not just pronounce words. I help learners build strong reading skills through guided practice, vocabulary development, and step-by-step comprehension techniques.
Instead of rushing through texts, I teach students how to:
Break down sentences into simple meaning
Identify key ideas and important details
Build vocabulary from context
Read with confidence instead of guessing
Lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s level, making reading easier and more enjoyable over time.
