About Gaia
I am a qualified primary teacher with 6 years of classroom experience, specialising in English. I hold Qualified Teacher Status and have completed my TESOL qualification. I have taught across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 both in the UK and internationally. I have. My role as an English Programme Coordinator in an international school required me to lead curriculum development based on child-centred learning, and support high-quality teaching and learning across the school
I offer a calm, professional, and highly personalised tutoring experience. Every lesson is tailored to the individual child, ensuring that their specific needs, strengths, and goals are fully supported. I not only want my students to learn, but I also want them to have fun, enjoy the lessons, and feel comfortable. I take pride in building strong, positive relationships with my students, helping them to develop their skills, confidence, and independence.
My teaching is structured, engaging, and focused on results. I combine clear explanations, targeted practice, and thoughtful feedback to ensure steady and meaningful progress. I am particularly skilled in supporting children with reading, writing, and phonics, as well as working with learners with English as an additional language.

I take a learner-centred approach to tutoring. I ensure that each lesson is tailored to suit the individual child and position students as active participants in their learning process. I believe that students learn best when they feel confident, supported, and enjoy what they're doing. I aim to create a calm and positive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and giving things a go.
My lessons are a mix of structured teaching and engaging activities. Depending on your child’s needs, I use techniques such as scaffolding, questioning, enquiry-based learning and active learning, among others. I break learning down into manageable steps and provide lots of encouragement so children can see their progress and feel proud of what they achieve.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although shorter sessions can be arranged for younger children. Each session includes a balance of learning, practice, and review to help build understanding over time.
I’m a qualified primary teacher with experience across KS1 and KS2, including working as an English Coordinator in an international school. I’ve supported a wide range of learners, including children with English as an additional language, those who need extra support, and those who are ready to be challenged further.
My lessons are suitable for children in EYFS, KS1, and KS2, whether they need help with phonics, reading, or writing, or want to build confidence and enjoy learning more.
