About Luke
Hi I am a qualified chemistry A-level teacher who also teaches all sciences to GCSE in a Birmingham school. I went to school at King Edward VI Camp Hill for boys then went on to get a degree from the University of Nottingham in Biochemistry. Upon completing this degree I did a PGCE to become a qualified teacher with QTS. I have 7 years teaching experience in schools and being a Head of Science. Whilst teaching I have also enjoyed tutoring in my spare time. I have taught students on numerous exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the sciences. Having been on AQA specific courses I would be happy to help with their A-level chemistry course. I have many successes in tutoring with the majority of my students receiving A/A*s at GCSE. In recent years my A-level students have gone onto courses in both medicine and veterinary science. My daughter needed support with chemistry but just a few lessons with Luke she is now superseding in this topic. She conmented that "Luke makes the lesson interesting and easier to understand". So he has as made a great impact in a short period of time and I am confident she will do better than expected now in her Science GCSE Exams.
