About Zoe
I am a young teacher who focuses on information retention and enjoyment, I truly believe that learning is only possible when you are open to it - this is developed through the enjoyment of developing new skills and abilities. As a child, I moved frequently and so I experienced my school life across many different schools. This has helped me to develop a very wide understanding of different individuals, as well as the teaching styles which I believe were successful. Training to become a teacher in London has provided me with a great understanding of the different life experiences pupils have. I am patient, persistent, and encouraging. I truly believe that ensuring pupils have confidence in themselves is a key component of success.

I am an enigmatic and interesting teacher - I believe that knowledge should be embedded through relational learning - ensuring children understand WHY a process takes place, not just the process itself. A typical lesson would last 45 minutes - a 5-minute starter, 15-minute input, 20 minutes of independent work, and a 5-minute plenary. This structuring helps to ensure that I have allowed the pupil to engage in some retrieval practice at the beginning, give them a worked example of what I would like them to do and finally discuss the work they have done.
