About Callum
I am a graduate of Newcastle University (BA Archaeology, PgD Archaeology),working towards qualified teacher status. I currently work as a maths tutor within a prominent Newcastle school, helping students who have fallen behind where they should be due to the ongoing pandemic. I aim to approach topics in a way which makes them more understandable or relatable to the individual student.

I aim to make topics more accessible to students by putting them in terms they will understand and enjoy.
As a full-time Mentor/Tutor in the maths department of a Newcastle Secondary school, I spend all of my time in the classroom helping students connect with maths. My term-time work is particularly aimed at middle-to-lower ability students years 7-11 (GCSE) who may have fallen behind in maths through the pandemic.
Lessons are one hour, working through formative starter exercises which inform the rest of the lesson and which areas need to be focused on.
I have received training through the National Tutoring Program to deliver tuition, and am fully DBS background checked.
