About Thalia
With 6 years of experience as a Biology tutor, I have had the opportunity to guide students through different stages of their academic journey, from K–12 fundamentals to first-year college Biology. I enjoy transforming difficult scientific ideas into lessons that feel approachable, organized, and meaningful.
My teaching covers a broad range of subjects, including genetics, cellular processes, human biology, physiology, ecology, evolution, microbiology, and molecular concepts. I carefully consider each learner’s background and objectives before shaping lessons around what will help them progress most effectively.
Rather than simply providing information, I encourage students to ask questions, make connections, analyze biological processes, and explain concepts independently. I combine straightforward instruction with diagrams, examples, discussions, practice activities, and revision techniques to reinforce learning.
Whether you are struggling with a particular chapter, preparing for an assessment, reviewing foundational knowledge, or adjusting to college-level Biology, I can provide structured and supportive guidance.

My biology classes focus on understanding, curiosity, and practical learning rather than relying on endless memorization. I teach students from K–12 to first-year college and personalize every lesson according to their current knowledge, curriculum, and learning objectives.
We can cover a wide range of biology topics, including cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, anatomy, physiology, ecology, evolution, plant biology, microbiology, and environmental science. I explain each subject step by step, connecting new information with concepts you already know so that difficult material becomes easier to follow.
Lessons may include visual explanations, guided questions, practice problems, concept reviews, examples from everyday life, and exam-style exercises. This approach helps students understand how biological systems work and how different concepts connect with one another.
Whether you need help catching up with your class, preparing for an upcoming test, strengthening your foundation, or getting ready for college-level biology, I can adapt the lesson accordingly.
