About Yousra
hello my name is Yousra, a native English and Arabic speaker from Ireland.
I enjoy having conversations with people and learning about different experiences and perspectives and I would love to use that in a way that can help others feel more comfortable communicating in English.
I know that speaking another language can sometimes be intimidating. You might know exactly what you want to say in our language, but suddenly struggle to say it in English. That's why I want my sessions to be relaxed and comfortable. You can speak, make mistakes, ask questions and take your time without feeling pressured. Over time, we'll work on building your confidence speaking in English.
I'm interested in helping people who want to use English and real life situations, whether that's for work, traveling, studying, meeting new people or simply feeling more confident in everyday conversations.
I am also looking forward to gaining experience as a tutor and developing my own communication skills along the way. I believe that learning works both ways and I'm excited to meet new people from different backgrounds and help them work towards their own English goals.

You know these English Lessons where everything suddenly feels way more complicated than it needs to be? Yeah, I want my sessions to be a little different.
My approach is relaxed, friendly, and centered around you. I want you to feel comfortable enough to actually speak, make mistakes, ask questions, and try again without worrying about being judged. Making mistakes is part of learning a language, so don't be afraid of them, I'd rather hear you try than stay quiet because you're worried about getting something wrong.
When you join one of my sessions for the first time, before we get into anything, I want to get to know you a little. Why are you learning English? What do you actually want to be able to do with it? Is it for work, traveling, studying, interviews, meeting new people, or simply because you want to feel more confident speaking?
Once I understand what you're looking for, we can build our sessions around what you actually need.
Conversation will naturally be a big part of our sessions because, well you can't become comfortable speaking English without actually speaking English! We'll talk about topics you're interested in, practice
everyday situations, and work on expressing your thoughts more naturally.
If you're interested in getting a little more technical with your English, that's absolutely fine too. During our first session, we'll talk about what you'd like to focus on, and if there's a particular grammar point or area you'd like to work on, just let me know then. That way, I can take some time to prepare something useful for a future session rather than rushing into it on the spot.
If we're focusing more on grammar, I'd personally recommend having a notebook or somewhere to jot things down, as there may be a few things you'll want to remember and practice afterwards. But that's completely up to you there's no compulsory homework or note-taking.
I also like to keep track of useful phrases, corrections, and things we can continue working on. If you'd like, I can share some of these with you after our session so you have something to look back on and practice whenever you want.
As a native English and Arabic speaker, I also understand what it feels like to communicate across two languages. Sometimes you know exactly what you want to say in your own language, but finding the right words in another language can be a completely different story. That's one of the reasons I want my sessions to be a space where you can take your time, make mistakes, and work through those moments without feeling embarrassed or judged.
Most importantly, you don't need to be perfect before you start speaking. You're here to improve, so relax, don't overthink it, and let's get chatting.
