About Katy
I am a 23 year old BSc Psychology student who has a real passion for teaching. I have helped to teach family and family friends who have all excelled and I am now looking to expand further to allow others to get my help. I am a real enthusiastic person when it comes to the sciences, I love chemistry and psychology specifically which is why my personal ultimate goal is to become a cognitive neuroscientist. I have completed 2 years (almost 3) of a BSc chemistry degree where I then changed to BSc Psychology and I am now going into my final year of a BSc Psychology degree where I am hoping to complete a MSc also. I am very friendly and kind and I love to teach and pass my passion for the sciences onto others in the hopes they can share the same passion I do. I hope if someone doesn’t like science that by the end of the course, they will enjoy it or at least enjoy some aspects! I have A*-C across all GCSE subjects and I also have A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and an EPQ (Extended Project). I have many credits from BSc Chemistry and I have passed all areas so far of my BSc Psychology with very good grades. I have one student now who I tutor every week who is also excelling with flying colours!

I like to go through content in detail and explain it in a way in which is more simplistic but still just as detailed. I teach as if I was learning it myself again where we go through content to understand and then we will go through questions to help consolidate the knowledge. I try to make it as friendly and laid back as possible while also ensuring the work is getting taught! Generally lessons are an hour long. I myself have As and Bs in the GCSE sciences and I also have A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I completed 2 almost 3 years of a Chemistry degree and then changed to Psychology in which I am going into my final year. I currently have one student who I have had since year 10 and they are now going into year 13. They get on brilliantly with me and are achieving top marks!
