About Anna
I'm currently heading into my second year of my physics degree at Oxford. I loving the course so far, especially quantum mechanics and special relativity but also like the mathematical side of the course (vector calculus is a particular favourite). After I finish my course I'd love to do a research degree. As well as studying myself I'm passionate about inspiring a love of maths and physics in younger people and have received feedback from previous tutees that not only have I improved their performance but also their enjoyment of the subject.

I have recently completed my A levels and GCSEs (achieving high grades), giving me a good understanding of what the courses involve and what examiners are looking for. A typical lesson would be about 45 mins to one hour and make use of an interactive whiteboard. It would follow this general structure: - some starter questions to work out what the student already knows - teaching of content, structured with targeted questions to encourage the student to build up the knowledge for themselves - going over practice exam questions (first I model a question and then they do their own) - a recap of what we covered in the lesson However I have experience tutoring a range of ages and abilities and am happy to adapt my tutoring style to what is best for the student.
