I am an undergraduate student specialising in teaching mathematics at GCSE and A Levels. I have attained an A* in A-Level mathematics and a 9 in GCSE mathematics, and I have been tutoring for 7 months with two active students. I deliver flexible 1-2 hour sessions for maths at GCSE or A-Level.
My lessons will be relaxed - students will be encouraged to think critically and have an opportunity to apply their knowledge under my guidance.
I teach privately in 1-1 lessons using an interactive teaching style. My lessons are extremely flexible and customisable depending on your needs; I can create lessons directly based on your feedback, or construct personalised teaching plans.
Types of Lessons:
- Teaching Content: My lessons will typically begin with reviewing content from the last lesson. We will then move on to exploring new content and applying the newly learnt concepts to practice questions under guidance.
- Revision Lessons: More focused on retaining information through regular practice. I will guide you through questions suitable for your ability and aim to stretch your problem-solving skills and exam technique.
My lessons will be able to deconstruct concepts for those who need extra help in understanding. For higher-attaining students, I will be able to stretch and challenge your abilities to ensure you can comfortably aim for the top grade.
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to discuss your needs and provide a small sample session.
I will be using Miro to allow students to collaboratively work on questions, and Google Classroom primarily to carry out teaching. I typically offer 1 or 2-hour lessons.
I also provide out-of-hours assistance for quick questions. A webcam is optional, and students can choose whether to use it or not.
