About Benaebi
It's simple really. I love helping students.
Recently, I had the joy of helping a student improve from a D in A Level Maths to a B, which enabled them to get into UCL after retaking their A Levels. Everyone's journey will be different. Everyone won't get the highest grade, but if I help you maximise your potential so you can successfully move on to your desired next steps, that's a win!
I love helping students so much I teach the Level 2 further maths certificate course to a group of year 11s in my free time.
At the same time, I'm a stickler for time (please don't be late), serious about homework and hold my students to high standards. We will have fun if we approach things the right way - however, fun is not the primary aim. We must take care of business! :)

I am pretty big on developing conceptual understanding, as that is what enables students to think critically and use knowledge to solve problems. Unless you state otherwise, we'll normally begin by me introducing and building on a concept, incrementally increasing the types of questions we explore. By the end (of the session or the topic) we should be able to do basic questions where we use the concept directly, moderate questions where we begin to think critically and justify results rather than just use a method, and more complex questions where synthesis (multiple topics combined) is involved, unfamiliar question styles appear and real-world application often takes place. This, of course, differs based on the level I am tutoring at. All in all, mastery is the aim!
One to two hours length dependent on desire and need.
I am currently a teacher at a secondary school in London teaching up to A-Level, so my knowledge is current and being used all the time!
