About Sonia
I am a dedicated English teacher with over five years of experience working with early years and primary learners, as well as adults learning English. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English Language and have a strong background in both classroom and online teaching. I am known for my calm approach, clear explanations, and ability to adapt lessons to each learner’s needs. I focus on building confidence alongside strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, because learners make the most progress when they feel supported and understood. My lessons are individual centered and adapted to each learner’s pace, level, and learning style. I focus on making English clear and approachable, whether the learner is a child or an adult. Lessons are calm, supportive, and structured to build confidence alongside strong language skills.
I use phonics, reading practice, guided writing, speaking activities, and regular revision. I adjust each lesson based on how the learner responds and what they need most at that stage.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous work. I then introduce a new concept using clear explanations and practical examples. We practice together through focused activities, and I end each lesson with feedback and simple goals for progress.
What sets me apart is my experience teaching early years and primary learners, as well as supporting adults learning English. I create a safe learning space where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My lessons are for early years, primary and teenage school students, as well as adults, from beginner to intermediate level, who need support with reading, writing, phonics, vocabulary, or spoken English.
