About Amy
I gained 2A*s and a B in my A-Levels (in Maths, Biology and Chemistry respectively), alongside an A in AS level French. I now study Medicine at the University of Leicester.
I have a lot of previous experience in tutoring a range of ages and abilities, and understand the frustration of not grasping concepts first time round. I realise that not everybody learns in the same way therefore would be more than happy to adapt and research different teaching styles that would better suit you or your child. Most importantly, being 'fresh out of school' myself, I am able to relate to many of the academic struggles where my help might be needed. Also, it is highly likely that the courses I studied had very similar content to that which you or your child are struggling with, making it easy for me to relay information and help.

My teaching method is traditional, and I have based it on what has worked for me throughout my school years. I focus on making sure the student understands the basic concepts of the topic first, working through slowly and step by step. I then will give the student questions to complete for the next session, which we will then work through together, addressing any difficulties. I am aware that this method does not work for every student, therefore this is a basic outline of how I begin to interact with my tutees, but I do adapt to suit them as they decide how they learn the best they can.
