About Molly
Hi, I'm Molly. Maths has always been a subject I've enjoyed, and I love helping students get past the mental block that so many people hit with it and start to see it as something manageable, even satisfying. I bring a professional, reliable approach to every lesson, students and parents can count on me to turn up prepared, communicate clearly, and take the work seriously.
I achieved a 9 in GCSE Maths, an A* in Maths at A-Level (alongside A*s in Economics and History), and studied Economics at the University of Bath, a degree built on strong quantitative and analytical skills. Alongside this, I've spent several years teaching sailing, which has given me real experience explaining concepts clearly to completely different ages and ability levels, and adapting my teaching on the spot to how each person learns best.

I keep each 60-minute lesson (online or in person, across Suffolk depending on location) focused on one or two key topics at a time, rather than trying to cover too much at once. Most sessions start with a few quick questions to check what's stuck from last time, before moving into new material through worked examples and plenty of practice questions, since maths is a subject you learn by doing, not just watching. I pay close attention to where a student's method breaks down rather than just whether the final answer is right, which is usually where the real understanding gets built. I take on GCSE Maths students at every level, from those chasing a top grade to those who've lost confidence in the subject and need to rebuild it step by step.
