About Isaac
I am a fourth year PhD student completing my research into Caribbean History at UCL. I have an MA from KCL in World History and Cultures and an undergraduate degree from the University of Glasgow in History. I have both A-level and GCSE qualifications in English. Although history is my focus, I have tutored in English up to GCSE level and am an expert in written communication. Most recently I have worked for the Brilliant Club, a charity which sends PhD students to secondary schools to give tutorials on based on their research. A key element of this role is teaching essay writing, a skill which I have developed to a high degree through my experience in Academia. With 8 years pedagogical experience, I am the perfect tutor to boost your English grades and give you confidence in your writing!

I approach each student as an individual and have a knack for getting to know people in a short space of time. Every student is an individual and will benefit from a unique approach, so I do my best to tailor lessons to them. My lessons typically last 50 mins- 1 hr. I have worked as a tutor for many years, I have taught in primary and secondary schools and hold degrees from three Russell Group Universities.
