About Summer
Hi, my name is Summer and I am passionate about learning, and making learning enjoyable. Outside of my academic interests, I enjoy learning about a range of things - recently I learnt to crochet!
I'd like to make a positive contribution and after working several roles over the years, I've come to realise that teaching allows me to make that kind of contribution. I want to pass on my enjoyment for learning, and help young people develop the strong research and academic writing skills needed to succeed in academic environments.

I am a first-class graduate and current MSc student who had received a number of awards for my academic achievements. I can offer tailored support for secondary students studying for GCSE Geography, as well as A Level Geography and Sociology students. I am also happy to provide writing support to current undergraduate students across the humanities and social sciences. My sessions focus heavily on core competencies such as concise academic writing, learning how to structure and apply material learnt in lessons. I am highly adaptable towards different learning methods, and will work with a client to ensure we are approaching learning in a way that works best for them. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, which provides time for reviewing material and practice. However, I can also provide longer or shorter sessions if requested.
