About Jeffrey
Jeff has been playing guitar since the age of 10, beginning with private lessons from a family friend and later developing his knowledge of theory and technique in high school music classes. During this time, he studied and composed primarily in the styles of progressive rock and heavy metal, performing live shows with bands of these genres. His lead guitar work was later featured on Voidchaser’s critically acclaimed debut album Solace, a progressive rock record that has received international recognition. With his own band Sum and Substance, Jeff’s debut single Kind reached over 40,000 plays, contributing to a catalog that has now amassed more than half a million streams worldwide. Beyond rock and metal, Jeff has also gone on to explore jazz, blues, and classical music since joining Concordia University’s Jazz Performance program in 2017. Inspired by musicians such as Pat Martino, Wynton Kelly, Clifford Brown, and John Coltrane, he developed a deep love for jazz and the culture of improvisation. For Jeff, the most important part of playing music is consistent practice. Dedicating time to your instrument every day builds a love that eventually grows into something spectacular. He believes that a musician’s mindset should be like that of a child at play, and he emphasizes the importance of joy and creativity in his lessons.

When I first started my journey as a guitarist, I struggled to figure out how to navigate the fretboard. I was probably a lot like you are right now… No knowledge of scales beyond the pentatonic No confidence to improvise with other musicians Felt like I wasn’t ‘painting with enough colors’ when it came to creating something special Didn’t have a deliberate or consistent practice plan Felt like everyone in my local scene was miles ahead of me But after enough studying and practice everything finally clicked into place. It took me 5 years to go from amateur to jazz guitarist and I’m here to streamline that process for you! While most guitarists are taking the approach of just picking up their instrument whenever they feel like it and playing things that ultimately don’t lead to their improvement… My clients are quietly using my Fretboard Freedom Intensive strategy. They’re more excited to play than ever, incorporating a deliberate, consistent and love-based practice routine into their daily lives. I approach guitar in a different way. And more importantly, the way I do it... works. If you’re a guitarist and want to play solos you actually love, get gigs with people you admire, and have a university-level understanding of the fretboard then send me a message and let's kick your practice routine into high gear!

Jeffrey is both a highly skilled guitarist and very personable. He would be my first pick for guitar teachers (no pun intended).
Jeffrey has been super patient with my son Tyler who begun his guitar lessons 3 months ago. He comes home after every lesson with an enormous smile on his face and immediately goes up to his room to practice what he has learned. His progress amazes me, and I thank this impressionable young man for it! Keep up the good work Jeffrey!
Diverse musical background and professional attitude, would recommend to anyone
Jeffrey is one of the most intelligent, dilligent, and hard working young men I've ever met in my life. He's an excellent guitarist and incredibly patient. 5/5 would highly recommend
Known him for literal years, fantastic guitar player.
