About Krivi
My name is Krivi Saikia, and although I'm currently going to school for jazz performance, I am no stranger to this wonderful musical lifestyle! Since middle school, I've been studying jazz technique and learning how to improve my playing ability. In high school, I had my own band, and we played gigs across Central Jersey. I'd be happy to share videos with students should they choose to see! All in all, I am perfectly qualified to teach jazz despite my young age. After all, jazz transcends age and generation!

We'll go over anything and everything from melodic and blues scales, how to play swung and bossa, the II-V-I, improvisation, and the most fun; famous jazz standards from the greats! We can go over whatever topics you choose to explore, and I will provide the necessary basics and skills to help you achieve your jazz goals, be them to play gigs or just have fun. Confidence is key, and with me, you can build your jazz confidence up to the max!
