About Marie
I have been a French teacher assistant at the St. Louis Language Immersion Schools for a year in 2013-2014. I was in charge of the 3rd grades helping them in French spelling, pronunciation, French mathematics, geography, history. I assessed them in their final reading and writing exam that allowed them to pass in 4th grade.
I have taught adults and teenagers at the Alliance Française of Monterrey in Mexico for 6 months. They could pass their DELF, an internationally recognized exam in French, in order to go to the university.

I am a French native speaker who graduated from a Masters in French Education in November 2016. Settled in St. Louis (MO) in order to spread my native language and culture is a pleasure while improving my second language : English. I can give lessons to students from beginners to advanced on a multiple variety of subjects (Grammar, conversation, reading, paper writing in French literature...).
My method is based on the communicative approach emphasizing on learning to communicate through interaction in the target language.
As learning materials I insert authentic texts into the learning situation.
I provide opportunities for learners to focus, not only on language but also on the learning process itself.
I enhance the learner’s own personal experiences related to the subject area he wants to improve, in order to work in a more friendly atmosphere.
I attempt to link language learning with real-life language activities.
