About Kamohelo
Hi All! I had learnt IEB level French for 5 years. I always have had a gravitation towards the language despite having no French-speaking ties associated to me. I always resonated with the language and this passion made me want to do more. More than what was expected of me. That meant finding online exercises, engaging with French-speaking media and going out my way to be surrounded by the language.
What works in my favour is my proficient memory which makes me soak up new vocabulary like a sponge! However, most importantly, my willingness to learn. Something I will share with my students.
I had finished IEB French level Matric with a 95% aggregate (a distinction).
I, as your tutor will not only aspire to help you learn this language. But to also fuel your learning endeavours with passion.

My approach towards learning french is immersing yourself in the language. "Un bain de francais". I would encourage my students to engage with French media such as songs, films, podcasts and much more. This aids in gaining confidence and comfortability with the language. Also, a great way to increase vocabulary.
Students can expect me to go through any found issues of difficulty they have acknowledged in their learning journey.
Students must expect school or academic work to be thoroughly gone through on my behalf.
Students can expect essential mini vocabulary tests.
Students must be assured that they are in a non-judgmental learning environment.
Students can expect a fun French song recommendation to help with pronunciation and slight language immersion
I am able to teach A1 and A2 level of French (beginner's level)

My French lessons with Kamo were well structured and well prepared. She made sure to work at my preferred pace and helped me understand the topics by explaining them thoroughly. She is a nice person with a great sense of humour which made working with her easier and more comfortable.
Kamo is an excellent tutor. I was struggling with maths and thought I was not going to get the marks I needed to get into Stellenbosch. Thankfully, because of Kamo, my marks increased by almost 20% allowing me to get the marks I needed to get.
I have had Kamohelo as a tutor for the last few months, and she really knows her work and doesn’t continue until you fully grasp a concept and her tutoring methods as very affective. I highly recommend her as a tutor!
