About Tabitha
Hello and congratulations on taking this important step towards learning French or English! I am confident that I will be the best person to help you become as fluent as possible in the new language you choose.
My name is Tabitha, I am a native English speaker from Ontario, Canada and I would love to help you learn or improve your French or English skills. My goal is to make you feel welcomed and safe in the classroom, so you feel comfortable sharing what you’ve learned with me. I aim to build up your confidence so that you will be able to speak, listen, read and write in French or English with ease. It will take some hard work and dedication, but I will be here to guide you every step of the way. Like you, I am a language learner myself, I studied French in University and am currently learning Spanish.
For the last 3 years I have been teaching in a French Immersion setting both in-person and online. Additionally, I have my teaching license from the Ontario College of Teachers and have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in French Studies as well as a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Primary/Junior education (grades K-6). I have experience teaching students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 but I would love the opportunity to expand this experience to include all ages by welcoming you as my student.
As a teacher, I strive to make learning fun and engaging for my students so you enjoy the process of learning a new language. To ensure you are successful, I build my lessons around your needs and tailor them as you progress.

Hey there! I'm so happy you have decided to start this new language learning journey with me.
My methodology revolves around making learning fun, engaging and as hands-on as possible. A typical lesson with me will involve learning some vocabulary words, playing a virtual based game (created by me) to review the vocabulary, and ending with a fun movement/hands on activity based on the words we learned.
What sets me apart from everyone else is that I have high energy while teaching my class and I will adapt the lessons to fit your learning goals. Whether you want to practice speaking, reading, writing or comprehensions skills in French or English, I am confident that I can create an lesson/activity to suit your needs.
My experience is mostly in the elementary sector, specifically Kindergarten, Grade 4/5, and Grade 1. However, I am confident that I can create a detailed learning plan that would suit students of any age.
