About Kelly Frances
I hold an MA in French from Vanderbilt University and a dual Ph.D. in French and Educational Studies from Emory University. I am skilled at online instruction and recognize the importance of creating connections in this learning modality.
My teaching experiences over the last 20+ years range from teaching basics at the kindergarten level to university-level grammar and literature classes, even at the graduate level.
I have published academic articles on topics related to language learning and teaching, language teacher education, and online language teaching. My most recent book is a co-edited volume on how to incorporate social justice principles in language teaching from K-16 levels.

I have 20+ years of experience in teaching French at all levels, from kindergarten to graduate school courses. What makes me unique? I have a dual Ph.D. in French and Educational Studies! This means I have extensive knowledge and experience not only in the French language and cultures, but I am an expert in how to teach languages for all ages and levels!
I specialize in how to create contextualized lessons that meet curriculum goals and student interests and needs. I excel at online lessons that are personalized for each student--everyone has different needs, motivations, and goals. Typical lessons for me match learning/curriculum goals with topics of interest for students to create an environment that is academically challenging but real-world relevant.
