About Maïka
I’m a friendly and reliable tutor who enjoys helping students feel more comfortable and confident in French. I’m a native French speaker and currently attend an English CEGEP, which helps me really understand the challenges students face when learning French as a second language. My tutoring style is patient, clear, and supportive. I explain things in a simple way, take the time to answer questions, and make sure students understand before moving on. I always aim to create a calm, judgment-free space where students feel comfortable learning and making mistakes. I’m currently studying in the Law, Society and Justice program at Dawson College, which has helped me develop strong communication and organization skills. I take tutoring seriously, come prepared to lessons, and stay organized, while still keeping sessions relaxed and approachable. Students and parents can expect a tutor who is respectful, punctual, and easy to talk to. My goal is to help students improve their French, gain confidence in class, and feel more at ease using the language overall.
