About Matilda
I am a French tutor with 9 years of experience and a Doctor of Philosophy in French Linguistics. I enjoy helping students achieve their language goals through practical teaching and encouraging communication.
My lessons are friendly, structured, and focused on real-world language use. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing, making mistakes, and improving every week.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying French history, exploring Francophone literature, and listening to French podcasts. These experiences help me create engaging lessons filled with authentic language and culture.

My French lessons are designed to help students use the language naturally in everyday situations. We practice listening comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, verb conjugation, vocabulary building, sentence formation, travel expressions, and conversational skills through interactive exercises and practical examples. Every lesson encourages learners to speak with growing confidence.
As students progress, we work on storytelling, reading practice, writing tasks, role-play activities, idiomatic expressions, French media, and cultural discussions. Regular speaking practice and supportive feedback help learners improve accuracy while developing comfortable communication skills.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning French while becoming confident speakers in real-life situations. Every lesson develops fluency, practical language ability, and appreciation for French-speaking cultures.
