About Gia
My journey with French began through a fascination with languages and cultural expression, leading me to complete a B.A. in French Studies followed by an M.A. in Applied Linguistics. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, helping them grow from hesitant beginners into confident communicators. I believe language learning should feel encouraging and human-centered. My teaching style emphasizes patience, clarity, and flexibility, allowing lessons to adapt to individual goals and learning speeds. I support students in developing both accuracy and natural expression. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with French through literature, film, linguistic research, and cultural study. Teaching French is deeply fulfilling because I see students gain confidence, curiosity, and the ability to connect meaningfully across cultures.

Advanced learners focus on nuanced expression, professional communication, advanced writing, and cultural interpretation through literature and media. Each lesson includes guided conversation, practical exercises, and personalized feedback.
French learning also develops cultural awareness, adaptability, and communication confidence. Students begin to appreciate how language reflects culture and perspective. My goal is to help learners feel at ease using French in academic, professional, and social environments while enjoying steady, meaningful progress.
