About Camille
I am a mental health practitioner born and raised in France; after graduating in Psychology and publishing a novel, I left my country to continue my studies and life in London. I now have a MSc in Criminology.
I have tutored students struggling with their grades as well as adults wishing to learn or improve their French for the past 9 years. In France, I was a qualified a French for Academic Purposes tutor and most of my student went on to pass their exams and achieve their undergraduate degrees with a minimum of 2:1.

I am a dynamic young woman, so my classes often reflect my personality and I like to focus on the conversational aspect of the language.
For students starting French from scratch, I like to divide my classes into two parts: 1) learning conversational sentences that we can repeat each lesson to ease into the language itself 2) teach the basis, grammar, spelling, vocabulary past, present, future.
For people who wants to improve their conversational French, I usually pick (or ask the students to pick) a topic of interest and have questions prepared to stir up a conversation around these. I like to go through eclectic topics, from entertainments to politics or personal life to ensure all the bases, from standard French to advanced French are covered.
I make an effort to teach everything with the right accent, but I do not judge anyone by how good their accent is or not - remember, if someone can hear your accent, it means you are speaking one more language than you were born with!

Camille has been a friend of mine for years (we met in sixth form). She has always been interested in foreign languages. She’s highly skilled in French and English as she studied in French and English universities (master’s degree). She is able to write poetry and reviews for a magazine in her second language. She connects very well with young people and has a great sense of humour. I’m convinced she’ll be a terrific French tutor for your child.
