About Cameron
I'm a professional trombonist and tubist based in Chicago, having moved here to pursue graduate studies at DePaul University. I've worked in a variety of styles, including solo, chamber, and orchestral music, as well as jazz, rock, musicals, and more. As a teacher, I've worked with students of all ages, and had students audition and earn places in honor bands and university music programs. One of my greatest passions is working with my students to find creative ways to solve their biggest problems in a way that will work for them. My priority is to find a lasting solution, rather than provide a quick fix.

My approach emphasizes teaching fundamental skills and building on top of a solid foundation of brass playing. That said, my commitment is to working with each individual student to meet their unique goals and aspirations. I have experience teaching students of all ages and experience levels, from absolute beginners to adults with decades of playing under their belt, and I feel confident that I can teach any styles - from classical to jazz to rock or pop.

Perfect! Cameron was friendly and got along well with my teenage son. He is very knowledgeable and my son feels confident in the learning path and goals set out.
Perfect! Cameron was very personable and exceeded our expectations! He effortlessly introduced my 5.5 year old to the trombone. We came to him when Merit said she was too young to start this instrument.
Perfect! Very talented trombone player, with real passion for playing and also teaching. Very good with our 5th grader. Really good at efficiently conveying ideas to sharp kids. Good at helping identify missing fundamentas. Very good at implanting solid "sticky" mental ideas on things that are important. Very patient. Enjoys answering curious questions. Highly recommend. Probably really good with adults too.

Cameron is a fantastic brass educator. He is thoughtful with his approach in every lesson and sets students up for success.
I have played many gigs with Cameron in trombone ensembles and in the low brass section in orchestras. Cameron is an experienced and sensitive musician. He is very knowledeable about repertoire and trombone pedagogy. Cameron is knowledgeable about the trombone community. I enjoy asking him questions whenever I see him and he always knows the answers!
Cameron is a multi talented trombonist and low brass expert affiliated with several orchestras. I am a professional pianist and have performed music with him a number of times. I always found him to be talented, professional, well-prepared, friendly, and easy to work with. He has had many students as well, so he does a great job at teaching, too. Highly recommended.
