About James
I share a South African Hip Hop Award with the band Godessa whom I contributed guitar parts to for their studio album Spillage and played live with them locally and on tour in Belgium. I also toured nationally as the guitarist for an alternative band called Nine, which played an eclectic mix of styles from Grunge, to Rap Metal, Jazz Funk, Drum 'n' Bass, African, and some unlisted experimental styles. I play drums in styles like Fusion, Hip Hop, Rock, Metal, Djent, Bebop Jazz, African traditional, Pop, Blues, Reggae, and R 'n' B, using polyrhythms and extreme interdependence and single or double bass drum pedals. I also teach how to do single-hand drum rolls.

Guitar, Drum, and English lessons... I give English lessons to help at Primary and High School levels. This covers everything from Grammar to Literature, Poetry, and Creative Writing. My Guitar and Drum lessons include how to play songs, solo, compose, and improvise within the context of songs from Beginner to Advanced levels. Drum lessons do not require a drum set for practice, or sticks, but a practice pad and sticks are recommended. Guitar lessons can be done with any guitar and with or without an amp when using an electric guitar. A guitar tuner is necessary. Guitar picks are recommended. Lessons can be taken via WhatsApp video call or through other online means which you consider appropriate.
