About Alicja
I have 3 A levels, with 2 A* and 1 A in sciences (biology, physics, chemistry). During my medical degree, I gained experience in tutoring peers and younger medical students through teaching sessions, where I learnt how to communicate clearly and sensitively. I am passionate about supporting individuals from all walks of life. Medicine needs professionals from diverse backgrounds and approaches in order to offer patients the best level of care. Having taken two gap years and being neurodivergent myself, I can support students taking less conventional routes into medicine and support individuals with ADHD/ASD with curated techniques to bring out your full potential. I am familiar with non-conventional approaches, having taken 2 gap years prior to starting medical school, and can help you plan your application, from work experience and extracurriculars to personal statements. Having sat the UCAT, I can offer advice on preparation and tips on how to excel. I offer a non-judgemental and encouraging space to build your confidence in addition to your application. I will review your personal statement ahead of our session, where we will discuss your strengths and weaknesses, as well as how to clearly communicate your drive for medicine. Sessions will take between 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your needs. I will curate sessions to fit your requirements and goals. I will take on students applying directly from school, during gap years, and through alternate routes such as access courses.
