About Zoya
I'm a fourth‑year Honors Life Science student at McMaster University with over five years of tutoring experience. My strong academic background and hands-on teaching experience have allowed me to support students of all learning styles and abilities. Apart from private tutoring, I have also tutored in a non-profit organization where classes were held weekly in a school classroom. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive space where students can build confidence and succeed. As a tutor, it is my goal to be patient, organized, and dedicated to helping every student reach their academic goals.

I use a patient, personalized approach that focuses on making challenging concepts simple and approachable for students while also teaching them how to approach questions shown on tests. In a typical lesson, I review prior knowledge, introduce new ideas with examples using their curriculum or lessons their teacher had given, and solidify understanding through practice questions and interactive exercises. I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs and the ways they learn best. What sets me apart is five years of tutoring experience combined with a solid academic background in biology, chemistry, and math. These lessons are designed for students from Grade 5–11 in the GTA, online or in-person, to help them excel and truly understand the material to do well on assessments.
