Since my teaching and life experiences cover a wide variety of subjects for various age groups, each lesson for each student is personalized based on the student. It’s important as an instructor to have a structure in lesson plans, but to not be ruled by them and instead listen to the student’s learning style, attention span, and creative/personal interests. I am patient, understanding, communicative, relatable, and light but productive.
I am looking to tutor students in need of an instructor they feel comfortable with and can relate to who is a bit of a Renaissance Instructor.
Specialities include: Tutoring or Mentoring children or teens with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Down’s Syndrome, or other learning disabilities mostly social skills, communication skills, or reading. Tutoring reading or creative writing to elementary aged children through collegiate level. Helping non-native English speakers brush up their basic and conversational English. I understand and speak basic Spanish and Romanian as well.
