About Jeremy
Hello! I'm a dedicated educator with experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional and a Missouri-certified substitute teacher. I have completed 89 college credit hours in History and am passionate about helping students develop the knowledge, confidence, and study skills they need to succeed.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take a patient, supportive, and individualized approach to tutoring. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming challenges, and reaching their full potential. Whether we're reviewing classroom material, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills, I adapt each lesson to meet the student's unique needs and learning style.
I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and goal-oriented. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and work to build both academic understanding and self-confidence. Parents and students can expect professionalism, reliability, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to student success in every lesson.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching approach to each individual's learning style, pace, and goals. My focus is on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence.
My teaching methods include breaking complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, using real-world examples, encouraging active participation, and reinforcing learning through guided practice and review. I also incorporate study strategies, critical-thinking skills, and organizational techniques that students can continue to use beyond our lessons.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by an assessment of the student's current understanding. We then work through new concepts together using clear explanations, examples, and interactive discussion. The lesson concludes with practice problems or activities, a summary of key points, and recommendations for independent study before our next session.
What sets me apart is my experience working with students who have diverse learning needs as a former Special Education Paraprofessional. I understand the importance of patience, adaptability, and positive encouragement. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become more confident, independent learners.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as introductory college students who need support in history, social studies, study skills, and general academic success. I welcome students of all ability levels, including those who benefit from additional academic support or individualized instruction.
